That is what I remembered you telling me Doc. I emailed MDSP for the specs to no avail confused.gif. I would love to do the measurements myself but currently revising (sigh). 8A is keeping me company however. :D

My mistake, sorry about that.
My point was that the rendition 1 was done by a different team of people than we are used to seeing Heir post about.

     Now that is certianly true...    the guy that I would say is primarily responsible for the R1 is a hoot of a fella....   his mantra is

 

"No problem..... it can be done...."  Always smiles.... and frequently asks.... "Why are you still here?"  (translated)

I swear you could write a book about these mysterious people you work with. Some tremendous characters you have brought to life in your posts about the team.
The book would have to be accompanied by the illustrations from the main Heir thread.

About the R1: it is an amp. It looks and sounds great. Battery lasts for freaking ever. Who needs specs? Not me. I need great sound and an amp that can outlast the two DAPs I tend to have around at any given time.

Absolutely right. The guy at Heir Audio/MDSP can make literally everything. You should listen to his own private DAC!  Wow! The thing is in the team there is always someone good at something: 70 patents, 50 trademarks, 120 domain names, more than 40 different products in the field. Wizard is one of them!
