What are the pros and cons? Which earphones do you link it with?

I tried it once last week, paired with my AD900x and the bass got tighter and a little more impact, soundstage is wider and has 3d Imaging, midrange sounds a bit smoother as well (this is compares to AD900x plugged directly into my iPad). Not to mention that you can change the oamp as well for different soundsign

According to my friend, they are one of the best amp in their price range. I also tried it along with Apex Glacier and in my opinion Rendition 1 is much better.

was planning to get one but settled on a 627x, I dislike carbon fiber so the Heir is out just for the case.

Well that is a shame, as the R1 can come with out carbon....       Getting that carbon was a huge struggle, I thought that was going to be the talk of the town!  (so much for the Wizard as an artist)

Everybody knows how good you are:)

And the R1 is a great product. On facebook I got the impression that carbon was the only option. If it can be had with other option(s) I would be all over it:)

I have no idea. I use the R1 for CIEMs and the MK3 is a hiss-fest with CIEMs afaik.

Nope, no DAC. Again, it's priced at $279 with a IEM/CIEM or $339. I'd be very surprised if I also got a good DAC-section at that pricepoint.

I don't think there are any "cons". Certainly nothing about the amp has been bugging me yet. I intend to do a comparison of the R1 and the amp-section of the Apex Glacier. I think comparing amps makes it easier to pinpoint strenghts and weaknesses.

I really like the CF. Looks great imo.

Staal, did you go for the silver or black?

The one the Wizard sent me is silver. I'll try to remember to take some photos :)

It seems the Rendition 1 comes with some opamps included in the package (3 different, I think). Can you tell me which opamps are bundled with it?

Is the amp capable of running other headphones that require serious juice?

It runs the Tzar 350
