Measure the impedance? Otherwise there isn't really a way to tell which version you have afaik.

You can contact them under sav@earsonics.com or contact@earsonics.com.

You could view post 168 or page 12 of this thread to see how you can identify the differences between both versions. I'm not too sure if that is still a valid method to gauge, so do not take my word for it.

I sent my v1 sm64 in for channel imbalance recently and I just received the v2 back (based on appearance) today but somehow I can't tell the difference anymore based on audio differences. Somehow the RMA piece sounds like the v1 to my ears. I need to test it with my reference track though.

Glad they weren't inside, however, when it happened... :o

Thanks! smily_headphones1.gif

Those are the comply iso plus tips. I also use westone star tips when I'm in the mood for a more open and neutral sound.

If my memory serves (I literally haven't thought about headphones in a long time), the difference can be noticed by the filters inside the tips.

I think either the V1 doesn't have filters in the spouts, or if they do, they are of a different look/kind than the ones in the V2.

I know I have the V2, and I think I found out because of the filters inside it!

The Audeo Phonak silicone tips won out over a slew of other tips, including the stock double-flange & foam tips and the Westone Star & True Foam tips. They do wonders for the soundstage on the '64s. They have a much wider bore once.past the end.of.the nozzle which seems to make the difference.

i'm using the sure olive tips and find them better than the stock, westone star and true foam tips. haven't tried the Audeo Phonak silicone tips though. anyone know where i could find some in australia. cheers
