Earsonics SM64: The Impressions Thread - Page 70

Guys, I am using these earphones with dual flange and when I put it inside my ears so the dual flange tips remains insider my ear so I have to use plucker to take the tips out of my ears. These dual flange tips are loose for the earphone's nozzle. What to do?

I had the same problem a few weeks ago.
Bought some new tips from Earsonics and now everything is fine :-P
So maybe these tips are loosing their "grip" after a while?

Tips are so much easy to put on the nozzle of earphone, where as I have to do just a lil bit twist to do the same with EPH-100. So may be the tips bore becomes slightly loose or so:confused:.

For this problem, I have not heard SM64 for few days. I'm afraid what if the tips goes deep inside my ears so

Hey guys,

I've been looking closely at the SM64's, and it looks like a winner so far. Would I be able to drive these from an Iphone 5?

Also, it seems that everywhere I look it's being sold for ~499 USD, when it looks like it was about 100 USD cheaper a while ago. Was there any sort of revision or price increase I'm not aware of?

Thanks!

I use mine straight out of my Nexus 5, sometimes, so you should be fine.

As for pricing, try emailing earphonesolutions and ask what they can work out...

They're pretty hard to find online, tbh. Earphone Solutions is out of stock, and so is Amazon proper. The only places I've found them are from a vendor on Amazon and on Ebay.

I would still email earphonesolutions or call them. I recently had to send mine back to them for warranty replacement. They luckily had one in stock to replace without sending it to France. They did, mention, however that they'd be getting more in stock. So... give them a try, anyway... FWIW

Will do. It never hurts to prod a little bit (well, maybe just a little...) Thanks for your help, CiG!

No problem...

I think I saw some in the classifieds, as well... so check there if earphonesolutions is a no go...

Yes you  can drive them straight out of your iPhone 5, but I find I have to be at near max volume. They have pretty high impedance. People tell me to look at the sensitivity, which is supposed to be decent ... but it's definitely been the quietest IEMs I have had.

My DX50 is handling them really well!
More than loud enough on high gain.

FWIW, while they require a higher volume setting than my W4, BA200 or TF10, the SM64 plays louder than I can listen to when driven with just my clip zip or HTC one phone.
