lol didn't even notice the pr-401. Just read some reviews, $12 seems like a steal. Maybe its a pricing error, but anyways I bit.

Same, I went for it. Comes out to $16 for me in California. Not a big loss if it doesn't work out. Thanks for the deal post btw.

Says on the page that its free shipping.  You might have selected the international shipping option, its a bit confusing on their website.  I ended up paying SGD 13.95 with code LMUECUST which gives 7% off.  It came out to $11.56 USD after the annoying conversion fee that paypal tacks on.  For some reason you can't use the coupon code and check out in USD, it will deactivate if try to change the currency at the top during checkout.

Yep no shipping cost for me as well. you might have clicked the wrong chipping(also from the oc). Sigh wish you posted earlier so i could see the coupon. Oh well $1 isn't going to kill me.

That's a great price.  The straight cable variety is a great price too, just not fulfilled by Amazon directly...

gr07 MK-1 Refurbished for $85.84. I'm tempted, but I hear that the Mk-2 are noticeably superior to the MK-1. Still waiting for a deal for the GR07 Bass Editions.

I've had all 3 at the same time.  I think these are the best and am getting another pair.   For me, the MK-2 highs are better but are lacking bass.  To my ears, the Bass Edition is fatiguing after a while due to over-emphasized bass.  I'll stick with the MK-1, thank you.

^ Thank you for that! I think I'll get a pair as well.

AccessoryJack are selling the HD-600 for a good price of $310. Does anyone know if they are trustworthy?

Ehh, I've been through the ATH-M50 and the SRH-840...

My biggest problem with the ATH-M50 was the comfort -- they make my ears hot and sweaty (which for me means itchiness and rashes).  I was using a coworker's pair yesterday, and while they sounded fine, I don't think I made it more than 15 minutes.

My biggest problem with the SRH-840 was the sound.  They sounded great with some of my music, but not so much with others.  Great isolation.  There was also the heat issue, but not as bad as the ATH-M50.

I've since replaced them both with the Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro 80 Ohm on Donald North's recommendation at a meetup (see http://www.dnaudio.com/).  Donald was right... great sound, good isolation, super comfortable (I can wear 'em for hours).  And here's where the deal part comes in... you can easily find 'em for around $165 (and sometimes less) new on Ebay.
