Like I say, it looks dubious, but I'm taking a chance. Buyer beware.

I was going to take the chance but it appears they sold out, so you are not alone. I hope it works out.

As long as you make sure to buy from reputable sellers, you're fine using Rakuten. I was less than impressed with a few experiences I had with them, but I was buying from mid tier sellers (Beach Camera, Platinum Micro). Beach Camera shipped my SSD (Yes, I know, it's an SSD so no damage) in a large box with no packing material. Absolutely zero packing material. Platinum Micro was in the packaging state for 4 days before I cancelled my order.

Buy.com, Adorama, etc are all good sellers to buy from.

Newegg is currently offering a bundle deal: the latest generation iPod Nano plus a set of Klipsch Image E1 headphones for $124: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.1291249&nm_mc=AFC-dealnews&cm_mmc=AFC-dealnews-_-NA-_-NA-_-1291249

I don't know much about the Image E1, but if anyone was looking for a small portable music player, this gives you the player plus a set of probably-decent headphones for less than the standard retail price on the iPod.

Be warned about Rakuten, I would  approach them with a careful eye.

As I said before Rakuten BOUGHT OUT buy.com, they are not the same. They also include merchants from all over the world, most are probably fine, but be careful.

Four ratings, all horrible.

It's no more risky than buying off ebay.

Just choose a marketplace seller with decent feedback.

Don't buy something from a seller with 1.5 star rating and be surprised if something shady happens.

Just be cautious.

Antonline, Beach camera, BH photo, Buy.com....lots of the marketplace sellers are the same as the ones on amazon.
