~$60 budget. Need IEM advice.

Looking for a "decent" pair of IEMs to go with a PMP I just purchased. I'm not a basshead of any sorts, just need something with a good bang for the buck. Don't want to spend more than this since every pair of IEMs I've owned so far have broken on me.

 

Inline mic and volume control deterred. Just need basic, clear-sounding IEMs. Currently looking at Creative EP and AKG K300 series.

By their nature, IEMs are vulnerable (especially if you have cats.)

 

I don't think you even have to spend $60:

A fair number of people prefer these to even $100-$150 iems; I've compared them to HF5s and Yamaha 100s and think they sound just as good. That said, I might still be tempted to try a pair of ATH CKN50s.

I didn't know there was a headphone out there that good for the price. Unfortunately, looking for something that's available locally for this price, so I can replace it when/if they break. I can't seem to find this for sale at any local place (Target, Best Buy, Walgreens, etc.)

The SHE3580 sounds very low budget compared to the JVC FXD70. The clarity and imaging on these are truly amazing.

For ~60, Creative EP-830 is a good choice, it provides decent sound, warm signature. Frankly, for 60 dollars, the difference is not that big, sound signature is the key, you just try and find the one you like the most

I disagree about the differences not being that big. The FXD70 is a major step up compared to SHE3580, EP-830, GR02/GR06 and even CKM500.

Found a blue SHE3582 yesterday. It is rather nice for how much it costs. It's too bassy for my tastes, though. Any other suggestions? I can't seem to find the aforementioned pairs anywhere, either.
