True that? I've always had a thing for petites blondes wearing staxes...

Damn, I'm not alone..

I should start a thread about it.

EDIT :

On a more serious note, I don't think that (given the amount of money we're talking about) a single system could fully satisfy me.

Heh, a lovely redhead walked into my friend's shop the other day and announced she was "just looking". I almost blurted out "ME TOO!!".

 

I wouldn't drop 15K just on source for a headphone setup, but if I had such a windfall I'd be seriously tempted by a Clearaudio Innovation Wood with either the Universal arm or an Ikeda arm (already have a wonderful Fidelity Research arm w/ Koetsu cart). Not a huge fan of everything Clearaudio, but recently I've been listening to an Innovation Compact (the smaller version) sounding simply sublime, with an excellent but lesser cartridge (Ortofon Cadenza Red vs. Koetsu), on a system very similar to mine. Imaging and detail are phenomenal. The bass impact isn't all there, but my bigger speakers and a higher-line cart should address that amply.
