ad900 vs ad900x

Hey guys, after hearing that the ad900 is a monster at classical (on the flagship thread), i was going to get it.

then i saw the ad900x, which had just come out. they cost the same here, but i was wondering if they sound roughly the same?

some people have said that the ad900x has more bass than the ad900, but for my searching, i cant quite find a full comparison.

thanks!

Read this review, there's a comparison with the original ad900.

I should get the ath-ad900x in about a week, along with Sony mdr-1r. I will review these and compare with my Sennheiser hd558 and Bose ae2i.

Just a quick 5 mins update. Had 30 mins with the A900x and they are crazy good. They blow the cobwebs out of the music. I need to give them 100 hours burn in first. But out of the box simply stunning.

Out of curiosity, overall how long did it take you from ordering from Amazon to it being processed at Tenso and shipped to the UK?

Amazon.jp shows mine been delivered to Tenso yesterday but I've still not heard anything back from them.

I ordered mine from a Japanese seller on eBay on 25th Feb. Fairly quick. Awesome cans even straight out of the box. Burning in for a while.

At the weekend I will write a full review as best as I can on here. Really want to burn in as much as possible. Also burning in Sony MDR-1R's.

Sorry for delay. Been really busy with work and stuff, but will get it done over weekend.

Very impressed with them.
