Are the ATH-40FS headphones really bettter than the ATH-M30?

Hi,

I just got a new pair of ATH-M30 for $40 on Amazon. They sound great! 

For an extra $10, I could have got the ATH-M40FS.

Amazon accepts exchange but I want to make sure it's all worth it.

I will use them mostly for tracking and monitoring. According to reviews on Amazon, the M40FS are not comfortable to wear for several hours at a time.

Any opinion?

I have the m40fs and I absolutely love them. I can easily wear them for several hours at a time and do. These headphones need some power going to them to get the most out of them but when they do they're fantastic. I have them running out of a marantz 2230 and they are prolly the best $45 Ive spent.
