FS - La Figaro 339 with Stock and Rare Tubes (Shipping INCLUDED)
Will Ship To: CONUS
Up for sale is a rarely seen, but highly regarded La Figaro 339. If you are unfamiliar with this amplifier, here is a very long introduction to it: http://www.head-fi.org/t/502306/dark-voice-339 as well as a shorter one from headfonia: http://www.headfonia.com/lafigaro-339-my-fav-otl-amp/
The amplifier is in excellent condition, as I purchased it last year brand new from Yuking himself. I am selling it because I have already gotten rid of all of my LF339 compatible headphones (I'm left with the HE-6, which like many other headphones amps, the LF339 does not power well) in the transition to the realm of speakers.
The La Figaro 339 works very well with almost all dynamic headphones, and I found that it works particularly well with the HE-500 (With the rare power tubes that I am listing).
The La Figaro 339 will come with its standard cage, EF80 adapters, stock tubes, and 2 U.S. power cables. If you order this new online, you have to wait for shipping (Which took mine a month to ship), and it will cost U.S. residents $650. I am including in this deal a pair of Tung-Sol 5998 power tubes, and the well regarded RCA Red 5693 tubes which pair very well with the 5998s. The Tung-Sol 5998s will cost you $70 (each) if you buy them from a tube shop, and the RCA red 5693 will cost you around $30-35 (each). The Stock Tubes have probably 10 hours on them (not really even burnt in yet), and the aftermarket tubes have ~50 hours on them, so they're just past the burn in point.
Total, I paid $650 (La Figaro + shipping) + $140 (5998s not including shipping) + $70 (5693s not including shipping) = $860
I am willing to ship this with additional tubes (RCA 6AS7G and EF80 tubes) at an additional cost of $50).
Though it will be quite expensive due to the weight of the unit, I will cover shipping cost, however I request that buyer either covers Paypal cost or does Paypal Gift.
I will send additional pictures on request.
Also, will ONLY sell to residents in the Continental U.S.
Thanks for looking.
