I read in a review that FI-BA-SS has lacks bass and the treble can be tad harsh at times. Especially that you are a violinist, have you never experienced that?

I don't think the bass is lacking. It is gloriously textured. It's very raw, and revealing of the recording. So if you're listebning to brightly mastered hard rock that is produced poorly, sure the treble is harsh. Fo rclassical and jazz, no. These things get treble right, and that's hard to do.

I just wanted to put them on your radar redface.gif

Whoa! Whoever wrote that should have their writing privileges taken away biggrin.gif

The FI-BA-SS actually has one of the best bass responses I've heard. I was in shock that a single armature could produce such a rich, organic  low end. Violins are also pretty good on them.

This was meant to be a cross off the list process but I am now swamped with so many good choices lol

I think if you are looking for more recomendations, opinions and reviews then it willbe hard for you to decide which one you choose and i will recommend to go with any highend multi BA CIEMs (they all improve with AMPs/DAC help, so there is room for futher improvement) and you willbe amaze by it's soundquality.
