If you are a playlist or random play all kind of guy then it's not for you. If you like to EQ your music, then it's not for you. If you don't have your music all properly tagged and sorted, then it's not for you... The C3 displays music in order that it was put on the device, so you run a little directory sort program to alphabetize your music which only takes a few seconds and your good to go. It has a really low powered output, great for IEM's but headphones really should have an amp attached.
You get used to and overcome it's little idiosyncrasies, it's not and iPod and it's not a Rockboxed Sansa. It is just an amazing sounding DAP with a UI designed by people who havn't used any sort of portable device in their life, or it was made by simian's, whichever you like...
Have I frightened you away yet?
