that pesky straight to L cable connector makes things very difficult in my pocket, not to mention my massive cable winder angry_face.gif(not in picture)

That...looks....incredible! That steampunk mod is amazing. Simple yet elegant

Koss KTXPro1 and Nano 2G 4GB with Rockbox installed. And yes, it really is that godawful color....lol.

How are those Koss? I've looked at them a couple times but never pulled the trigger. Comparable with the PortaPro?

I think they sound better than the PortaPros. PPs always sounded a bit muffled/veiled to me, enough so that I always EQ'd them. KTXPro1 remind me more of the KSC75, the way KSC75 sound on a headband as opposed to the ear clips. I don't use them very often because they were meant for people with smaller heads than me...lol.

This is my current rig.

A Sansa Clip+ and a Philips SHL3200. I used to use an AKG K518 DJ, but accidentally stepped on the cable and couldn't repair it, unfortunately, loved them.

In case you're wondering, yes, these headphones sound as bad as they look. But at least they're comfy.

was it just the cable or was the driver messed up?

Well, at first it was just the cable, but then I managed to screw it up even more by accidentally melting the part of the headband which attaches the entire earcup to the headband with my solder iron, so I just thought "**** it" and threw everything but the drivers away.
