I'm using an Essence ST/HD650 right now and have no speakers. I'm looking to get a nice passive speaker (bookshelf?) setup with an AMP.

 

I want to go ahead and say I'm a complete noob at this but did bother doing some research. I read that I need to match ohms and get an amp 50% more powerful then my speakers.

 

I'm not to savvy in this tech so I would really appreciate specific suggestions in speakers and an amp. My maximum budget is $700, but I would prefer to stay in the $500-$600 range.

 

Primary uses will be listening to music and playing video games. A subwoofer is not necessary now, I can get one later.
