What I am about to write almost makes me sick, in fact I'm having a hard time even typing it.  But the TF10s have become fatally injured.  I left them sitting on the front seat of my car while I went in the house to finish getting ready for a trip.  When I came back out, they were, of course in the same place.  Went to the gas station, and after I had finished up, went to pick them up to roll them up better.  That's when I noticed it...the left side enclosure was bent at a 45 degree angle to the pin-out on the cable.  I was shocked.  Like an idiot, I tried to slowly bend it back slightly, so I could pull it out at a straighter angle.  Well, the rear pin wasn't having it.  Snapped right away.  Front one stayed, and was able to pull it out.  But needless to say, what was at the time, a 4 day old cable and the left Triple.Fi are ruined.  So, looks I need to figure out where to go from here.  The pin is protruding just enough to make pulling it out possible, but so far I haven't been able to grip it, and it seems to have slipped farther in.  The cable I'm sure I can send in and have repaired.  But I'm really worried about the IEM...not sure what to do about it.  Definitely one of the most frustrating things that's happened in a while. Back to the iPhone earbuds...again....

Ive used pure siver and now have a spc occ cable for my shure se530 and noticed that pure silver seems to give a more bright sound while the spc occ seems to give the brightness of the pure silver while still retaining a greater dynamic sound to the lows. Which is a signature of the copper.

Imo the spc occ is the best of both worlds...prettty happy with my spc occ cable.

Hearing is believing. I used to not believe the cable stuff but I do now. My belief came after I tried two different lod cables for my amp. The pure silver one just sounds more clean and airy with better separations for the instruments. I really love the pure silver sound and it makes all my music sound more fantastic.

Haha.  If I wasn't so low on funds at the moment I would be already doing that.  But not yet.  Hopefully this will be an easy repair, and then I'll be back in business.  But that is the long term plan...if I don't get distracted by some Hifimans or God forbid, a set of Qualias in the future rolleyes.gif

Yeah honestly that's about what I thought it would be like, and that's why I chose to go the way I did.  I feel that the lows were retained nicely with the SPC, but the airy-ness of the highs is also very nice.  Overall, for all of the, like, 20 hours I got on them, I have loved it so far.

Yeah makes sense.  I have always been a believer, but it's solidified now that I have first-hand experience.  I would like to try pure silver sometime, if I had something that was already bass-heavy.

Dang I was looking forward to this review like 2 weeks in the making and then suddenly your IEM's die. You gotta re-shell 'em bro!

But yes, thank you for the kind words and we really enjoy working with our fellow audiophiles making these. Hopefully your situation looks up, we'd be glad to extract the pin and help you out if it was possible.

Wow I should have looked at this sooner!  Haha.  Yeah you're telling me....I can imagine that not everyone has access to the original Super Audio CD player and a nice preamp, all hooked up to power conditioning over premium cables to test out a pair of IEMs haha.  I was so excited, and then this happened...I was devastated.  Chris, I would love to see if you could do anything about this. Cable definitely needs a new set of pins on the left side, I'm going to try a trick someone informed me of to get the pin out, but if that doesn't work out, I'd definitely be willing to let you have  a crack at it.  It's already been a week, I can't take this much longer haha.  Let me know what I should do, because I really want to get these back!  Thanks.

E-mail Ted. If there are any back-end costs, I feel so bad for you I will cover them out of my own pocket. Keep in touch, this situation is probably rectifiable honestly.

Thank you so much.  You guys have been great from the beginning.  Going back and forth with Ted right now trying to figure this pin out. Hopefully one way or another it will get out of there.  Never have I felt more stupid in my life haha.  Looks like at the very least I'll be sending the cable in ASAP.  If I can't get the pin out...then maybe that too.

I recently bought a plussound SPC cable for my lcd 2s and the improvement to the sonics is not subtle, comparisons with the stock cable have solidified this. I didn't expect the sound to get much smoother, while digging out even more detail...its ridiculous. I recommend you go with plusssound exo series, you won't be dissapointed

EDIT: and the cables are pretty inexpensive at $115 for 4 feet of 7N UP-OCC silver-plated copper
