HARDWARE DSP effects and DAW recording tracks

Thread Starter

When you use the DSP effects in a USB audio interface or stand alone hardware unit... like compressors EQ etc... do the recorded tracks in the DAW have the effects? or are the effects just for monitoring? I know that time based effects usually are NOT recorded when recording and laying down tracks. I just am curious if EQs and Compressors, etc are.

I am looking into buying a ZOOM R24 interface/recorder and was just getting info.

The manual should explain that.
