Very good, I've owned a bunch of them.
They are a bit harder than your regular pleathers but in return they keep their form exceptionally well.
There is a foam ring in each, which helps the pad to retain its shape and make them firmer, but you can remove them at any time to make the pad softer and shallower [I actually used these foam rings with a bunch of pads to improve depth]
You can buy them off head-direct.com or headphone.com, if you have a local HiFiMAN dealer chances are he will have some to sell as well [20 bucks for a pair].
They have them elsewhere too, no doubt :] just look.
