Alright, I am also checking out older ones on ebay that do support sub woofer, maybe I can get one for <50...
These cords will do the trick for now I am guessing: http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=102&cp_id=10218&cs_id=1021815&p_id=5598&seq=1&format=2
Going to grab 2 pairs for both computers.
Thanks for the info so far, thought this would be a better option then the little amp for now.
I'd wait since you already have a receiver. It typically costs $30 or more to ship a receiver. Anything you can get shipped for $50 off Ebay is not likely to be much better than what you have (if not worse). Wait until you can spend more than $100 and get something more than a bottom model entry level receiver. Look for Denon, Yamaha, Onkyo, or HK (or newer model Pioneers) AVRs. Avoid Sonys since they are not the best for SQ. Then you can run optical (or HDMI if your graphics card can output audio over HDMI) to the receiver and use its DAC. They will also have bass management capability for managing the speaker/sub crossover. Do your research and learn more about this before you jump into anything.
