Today he stopped by on his way out of town and I let him hear my RS1is through the Little Dot with Voskhods and after one song, he looks at me and says, "Well shi*t Joe, thanks for ruining the 80s for me."

Friendship (and audiophile brainwashing) is magic :D

I was visiting my grandmother last month and one day she was curious of my headphones (DT-880) and asked to try them.  I put on Chorus: And the Glory of the Lord, the one that Linn gave away during the Christmas event, and it moved her to tears.  My headphones were, more or less, stolen for the remainder of the trip.

I ended up ordering her a pair of Sennheiser 598 headphones before I left.

It's a little messed up on that picture, though.. And it happened some time ago now.

Also, another thing.. There's this dude at school. Made him buy my hfi780 some time ago after he had borrowed them for like a week. Now he keeps borrowing my momentum when at school. Lol :D

I think he finds the hfi 780 kinda unfomortable or something.. Dunno.

It looks amazing!

How did it taste?

If my family made me one, I wouldn't even eat it, I'd just stare at it all day..

Should've seen it coming, haha. Wouldn't surprise me if someone took it off and put it on his head.

A friend of mine is getting a V-moda M80 soon, to mix with.. I already told him 'if you want a portable can, the m50's would fit you better'. Nope, he wants the v-moda's 'because they look cool'

Also told him that the AKG k240's (the studio one's that are only 88 euro's at the moment) would be way better to mix with.. Oh well, more laughs for me.

I recommended the ATH-M50 like 3 years or so ago. I suggested the M80 but he was afraid of the clamping force on M80 that I mentioned to him and now his back asking about the M80 xD

Doesn't sound as good as the original (stax lambda signature), though it tasted a lot better, mostly of chocolate and a touch of elderflower :D

Yea, 780s were awful, I sold mine after a month because of how uncomfortable they were. Never was a fan of how they sounded either

Nah, you should have given her the DT880 and given yourself an upgrade instead

Ear piercing sibilance at its best (or worse).   The 580s are okay.
