You have to be an audiophile to have an opinion? That confused me lol.

Someone was wearing my sr80s backwards last night. They put the vent over their ears instead of the ear pad.

They probably sounded pretty decent anyways so I let it be.

HE-500 vs. FAD is like comparing a backpack to a pickup truck.

Why are you guys even bothering to compare an open can to a closed one?

P.S. Drivers don't make up the whole SQ. If he wants to buy the dido, let him buy the dido.

Open, high-impedance, full-sized can to a closed, low-impedance portable can...

If people feel the need to compare two almost uncomparable cans (as both have different demands when u wanna connect the right amp)..but let them.on this thread its acceptable anyway...i am unsubscribing as of now from this thread..its more about competing between PEOPLE the last 10 pages then telling any (fun) stories (like i did a few pages back to try to put the thread back on track..but to no avail) about owning a HIGH END phone..

I wish u all well..i will go back to my bat cave..i mean listening cave..put my 'code-x' on my head and turn the volume knob on my 'PaG' to listening levels and then pull my comfy seat back into relaxing mode, lean back and close my eyes and forget all this wink.gif

Adios my battling comrades..may the smartest win..or until a certain someone (big brother is certainly watching us) decides that its gone to far and decides to close the thread..
This thead was all about funny stories about how others react on us 'silly' high end headphone owners paying more then a months loan (for some) on a HUGE can (with which we look totally rediculous when having them on our head, messing up our hair..lolz) or even worse pay an extra 2000usd on a headphone amp to go for it..oh how the horrror wink.gif

or how we find ways to hide our purchases from our relatives..making it look cheaper then it is, and so avoiding any damage to any sensitive parts of ur body..hehehehe

sometimes i still read a funny story or interesting story that is totally on topic..and i thank those mates for that...

Guys before i go..if u wanna talk about differences between cans..there are threads for that..or do as i did with my new amp..start a new one..its easy... wink.gif

If you'll notice, that's when I get into arguments around here. Look through any posts in my history where I was insulting anyone for their product choice. My worst "flaming" was getting impatient with people who were acting all high and mighty for what they have and looking down their noses at anyone for what they have. It's always been in defense of something, I've never gone after anyone for enjoying what they have.

Why get impatient with people at all? Who cares what other people buy? If it doesn't affect you personally, don't get your knickers in a bunch over internet arguments.

17 is nothing to complain about unless you are moderately depressed. I have been there. Try getting a job at my age* with vision issues from birth and no "real" work experience outside of co-op in high school due to said vision issues along with shyness and social anxiety at times.

* hint: it is 17 + 8.

I wasn't trying to say it cannot be worse, cause well, you just proved it can. I feel sorry for you, it won't be easy but i'm sure here's a nice job for you somewhere!

Well, when I showed my friend my two sets of earbuds, he preferred my Sennheiser cx880 over my UE Tf10 because "it had more bass". Argh, I like the cx880 for comfort, but sound wise, there's no comparison...
