This is not the newer version of the cable. This cable retailed for $800 in 2010.
Unlike other balanced cable setups, this is truely balanced cable.It offers separate right and left cable runs which allow both physical and electromagnetic isolation of left and right channels for more accurate soundstage and tonal balance.And it also makes the HD800 sound a bit warmer and smoother, and the treble peak vanish.
