Beyer DT770 80 ohm or 250 ohm, if I'm running a JDS Labs CmoyBB?

I needed to know how well the Cmoy could run a pair of 250 ohm cans, and if it can't push enough power, if I should get the 80 ohm ones instead. I've heard the 80's are a lot brighter than the 250's, so the 250's are the priority.

I have the 80 ohm version and it pairs fine with my DIY cMoyBB v2.03, which is the one from JDS Labs. I haven't tried the 250 ohm Beyers though, so can't comment on that.

Not sure where you heard that, the 250 are a bit more "balanced" while the 80s have a more bass/mid centric sound.

I've never used a cMoy, but I'm guessing just about any cMoy can drive 250-Ohm headphones.

Personally i find the 80 ohm version more fun to listen to.
