Until you get the inevitable questions (or, morelike interrogation) along the lines of "I want great sound, great bass, great midrange, great treble, want it to sound like I'm at a gig, for $100 or less"... If I find $1500+ models to sound not so good...

You go to Pairs with your wife and you look for tubes.

YKYAAW you keep searching for good deals for both brand new and used IEMs in online shopping websites. :ksc75smile:

YKYAA you start designing a DAC when you can't find one with exactly the dimensions you want.

@Dobrescu George

Have you heard this particular Ultrasone? Any thoughts?

I have. :-)

Hated it, personally, if I recall the sub bass was very rolled off and the upper mids were too loud, as well as the comfort just being absolutely atrocious.

You know you're an audiophile when you spend the first half hour sound-tuning the karaoke system rather than actually singing karaoke

YKYAA when you can't find a DAC with exactly the footprint you want, you design one instead.

YKYAAW you turn off your ticking clock, mouse, and want to turn off your computer while you listen to music

All of these I can hear when I'm listening to music, and it's incredibly distracting. Is anyone else bothers by small sounds like these when listening?

My computer fan annoys me to no end.
