I've got a wooden cabinet holding my LP's in
I've got a bag with interconnects in
When I'm a good boy they sometimes throw me a record in
I got rubber bands keeping my rig together
Got those late 60's blues.
Got 13,000 records in my cabinet to choose from
I've got vacuum tubes
And I've got balanced ouputs
I've got amazing powers of amplification
And that is how I know
When I try to get through
On my headphones to you
There'll be no Jude home
I've got the obligatory 'Kind of Blue' LP
And I've got the inevitable shorted cables
All down the cord of my favorite pair of Grados
I've got soldering burns on my fingers
I've got a magnepan speaker rig
I've got an electrostatic rig to prop up my mortal remains
I've got wild listening ears
I've got a strong urge to upgrade
But I've got nothing better to go to
Ooooh Babe when I pick up my headphones
There's still no Jude home
I've got a pair of Orpheus 'phones
And I've got fading tubes.

Wow! are all these your headphones?

Lawl, another good one. I do that alot as I used to be an ALL PORTABLE man, since I was in HS and I was a rider... now I'm a driver and I has no time for portable rig [as driving with headphones one even the open dt 990] seems like a terrible idea!

Shouldn't it be when you go out with your non portable rig because you can have to?

When you buy pretty and expensive headphones, but don't wear them for fear of scratching them.

+1 This is *part* of the reason why I didn't like my three Ultrasones and won't dare buy another, the aluminum scratches too easily. I enjoy rugged headphones that can get down and dirty like my dt770 and Amperior wink.gif

When you have to have two of any pretty headphone. One to use and one for the showcase cabinet.

You cringe when a non audiophile friend asks you to check out how good their new headphones sound.

Do they sound like bass cannons?

YKYAAW when you have more headphones than pairs of jeans. And also when you are always late for anything because you are going: "one more track... just another one... just one more..." then you are 1 hour late.

when you skype with your girlfriend while wearing high-end headphones.
