Of course, this is a headphone forum after all!

However, I think you have to agree we were both blown from our feet and out to sea by this:

I showed my HE-400s to my GF the other day, and instead of awkwardly staring at her while she listened to them, I started giving her a back massage. Unmentionables ensued, and she said that the headphones have good imaging! I wasn't even aware that she knew any audiophile geek speak. Score!

ADDA BOY.

But how good was the separation?

A very relaxing and intimate sound overall. The images' sense of body overpowered the separation in the soundstage. The sonic spectrum's bottom end was thick and luscious; while slow, it hit very deep

It's probably been said, but...

YKYAAW you're constantly gifting old equipment to friends...because it's the only way you can stand listening to music at their place :)

Heh, I speak from too much experience on that one.  Just handed an old set of Castle Durham speakers and amp to a friend of mine after much ipod dock cringing.

Now I can make use of the pool table in his games room without distraction :beerchug:

I think they were more for display. I think our server said that the head sushi chef/owner sells them? O.o

You know you're an audiophile when you go to a restaurant and take photos of audio gear instead of the food. XD
