Gold EarPods? Wow! They don't sound bad actually but gold may or may not affect the sound I guess? XD

YKYAA when you can't remember chemical names and Biological enzymes so you decided to imagine Jude introducing new headphones! The way he talks. You take those tough name as the headphone name and the function as it's features... You take the size as the driver's size... XD

Jude approves of lactase to cut through those tough lactose molecules that people with lactose intolerance can't do! biggrin.gif

But they have a 320 kbps steam don't they? Blind test 320 kbps with lossless. wink.gif
Listen to a lossy version of 'Roundabout' by Yes off of Fragile, and a lossless version and tell me which one you hear more detail and separation in.

I say neither.

Total: 13/28 (71.4%)

Setup:

MacBook Pro -> Fidelizer (Extremist mode) -> Foobar2000 + WASAPI + ReplayGain volume-matched files + ABX component -> ODAC (24-bit/96 kHz, exclusive access, exclusive access programs have priority settings) -> STAX SRS-2170

MP3 was encoded from XLD using LAME MP3 version 3.99r 320 kbps CBR.

They both sounded pretty similar. One seemed to have a deeper bass, which made it seem a bit more dynamic, but evidently that was probably just my imagination.

You know you're an audiophile when you download software targeted towards audiophiles, or Fidelizer in my case.

http://www.windowsxlive.net/fidelizer/

Quote:

Fidelizer has 3 optimization levels. They’re all for the same goal to sonic improvements. I’ll leave them all to your judge whether they’re subtle or big difference. At any rate, you should leave your ears with it for at least week if it doesn’t hurt your computer. Some people need time to adapt to changes.

The first ones is ‘Professional’. This will optimize system to the extend that it won’t significantly affect overall system performance. You can work as usual while enjoying improved multimedia experiences.

The next ones is ‘Audiophile’. This is quite dedicated ones for those who pursue higher fidelity. It will lower system/network performance so audio can gain more priority to access to resources at time. It will also lower most processes including system ones to lowest level so you need to close your audiophile player before using it.

The last ones is ‘Extremist’. As the name say, this isn’t risk-free feature to try. It will stop most bundled system services leaving only important ones for audio. Yes, it will stop network services and such too. You may not know but Windows Audio and DHCP share the same process in service host provider so disabling network can significantly improve sonic performance. I also add some options to keep network and user experiences (HID,Tablet,Themes) working for some applications.

Well, with the Schiit Magni&Modi stack to my SR80i, I did prefer the FLAC. Mp3 was created using DBPoweramp.

To Each their Own.

You know you're an audiophile avid music lover when you watch a video and upon hearing the background music you exclaim: "oh mahgawd.....I MUST have this track!"

[Legally] free downloads too under a Creative Commons license: http://www.joshwoodward.com/

Ironically I had a jasmine milk tea earlier today....though from a restaurant instead of home-made.

I've been trying to find a background track from a radio commercial that I heard 15 years ago, and I still haven't found it :(

That's how I felt about the background music in those home depot commercials from like 2009 then I found it and it wasn't nearly as good as I remembered.

Bahahaha, that reminds me of that one Honda commercial:

"Tuesday is the best day of the week" *raises dongers fists and moves them like a wild cat*
