Frankly, all the questions you've asked I've seen answered here previously. Pardon me, but while you say you've not done much uodating in 25 years, but I do wonder where you've been not to know about ripping CDs. That did sound a remarkably strange question for someon who knew mp3s existed.

If I am mistaken, I apologise. Ask away... beerchug.gif

The amount of posts/time that I have means 0, they are conversations I was engaging in to give/receive opinions/info. And I did search for this info and obviously did not find my answers until I starters this thread, and its the only one that I ever started. And yes I appreciate your first reply to my post, but the second was totally uncalled for. Are you the forum police and watch for people who may ask questions that have already been asked? And whats so remarkably strange that I knew MP3's existed? And also why are you all over me about this? And further more stop wondering where I've been for the past 20+ years, you dont know me. And if your really that concerned, ask the dam FEDS.

My apologies.

Actually Ari, I had not listened to that DVD for ages and played it yesterday after you reminded me I had it... It was great... Thanks.

Now Joseph, if you've calmed down... I never meant offence... We all need to learn. I picked up on this thread because I've been on a huge trip buying 4 PMPs/DAPs in the past two months looking for the right one. You will not get ALL the answers to your search in one thread. Just the opinions of a handful of those who take the time to answer your questions and then there is genre, budget, future usage and the list goes on...... I purchased two of those DAPs on too little advise from limited answers. Since then I expanded my use of the search tools here and read reviews and cross checked outside the forum... Google is my friend...

Friend, don't be so touchy... You'll get help, but don't ignore advice even if it is not what you want to hear. Life's too short.

PS. I would have PM'd this but wanted others to know my motives too.

Friends?

Friends?

Yes, most definitely friends, I apologize if I came off the wrong way. And once again thank you for your info about the different music files and helping me feel more confident in what I am learning.

Today was the first time that I purchased music from iTunes, and it was very easy to do. I downloaded it into my Macbook, and now I'm going to plug my Mac into my pre-amp and hear how it sounds.

You see when I was cross checking outside this forum I seemed to get a lot of wrong info and I couldn't believe what some people where actually saying, so I wanted to be certain. Once again I apologize.
