In case you didn't notice my new logo, here's my Senn 600 tribute in Cinema 4D.

Cool logo! But... the left earcup is *round*...

Good eyes. My wife kicked me off the computer before I had time to fine tune my model. I promise a finessed version soon.

Senns Day Two

First reworking of the Sennheiser HD 600 mesh.
Ear cups fixed, eric343. Picky.

What always starts out as a whim... Oh well, only seven hours so far.

As I was tidying up I realized there was one complete structure missing. Anyone see what?

What goes up must come down.

Couldn't wait to try lighting and plugging the model into a photo, Sez Werner Von Braun.

<total utter nipick>
Well, there's no hinges, there's no black metal bit that connects the bales+drivers to the headband, and there's no cable, just to name a few. Oh, and the color's a bit too green, there's no Sennheiser logo on top, the headband's too thin and should be rounded, the mesh over the drivers is supposed to be rounded off at the edges (not squared), the earpads should stand out more, the inner driver-covering foam is darker...
</nitpick>

But it's a really nice logo!

You're right about all that Eric323. I love Cinema 4D, but I've always used other people's models, even though I've been working with CD4 for over two years. This is the first computer model that I've tried to build from scratch (I see a set of calipers would come in very handy, not to mention a laser scanner), so, with that in mind, think of it as a paleolithic man's rendering of HD 600s. Yes, that black metal bit connecting the bale to the headband is key (that's what I later noticed I had forgotten to add). I should round off that mesh over the driver and the headband, put in that hinge, etc, etc... but the hell with it. When you get down to 75X75 gif for an icon, it's all lost anyway. But this CGI stuff is maddening and brings out the obessive compulsive perfectionist in you - so I'll eventually make those changes/ Anyway, thank's for pointing out the flaws. Do you go any computer modelling/animation?

This is probably as far as it goes. Maybe it sucks but, I dunno, gosh, I'd recognise 'em!

*waaay* better

But the foam that covers the drivers on the inside (in the middle of the earpads) still needs to be darkened
