FIIO E10 - Mac Pro Issues

Hi all,

 

I recently purchased a Fiio E10 DAC to use with my Mac Pro (desktop) and my Bose headphones to improve sound quality.

 

I'm having a bit of a problem in that once I plug the E10 into *any* USB port on my Mac Pro, the sound only stays on for around 30-50 seconds before cutting out (but the blue light still stays on, on the device). I've tried the DAC in an additional two PC's and a macbook pro (laptop) and it seems to work fine.

 

Does anyone have any idea what might be going on here?

When it cuts out, does the output device under Sound Settings still say the Fiio E10?

Yes, which is the weird thing...

For all intents and purposes it looks like it's still on, but no sound...
