The Xonar DG does have headphone amplifier up to 150 ohms.
The one on amazon is sold by another merchant not by amazon itself (the 80 ohms version) and they dont accept returns on headphones(LOL).
So that's why I was checking other websites.
So I think I will go ahead and purchase it.... hope it will sound as I want and to be comfortable.
Thank you.
Well technically anything you can plug a headphone into has a headphone amplifier but its very far from the $100+ Xonar sound cards which actually have a full blown headphone amplifier built-in that can power even really hard to power headphones.
My guess is you'll really like the 770s. They are VERY comfortable. One of the most comfortable headphones ever, IMO.
I would also guess that the new sound card will fix your distortion issue.
Good luck and congrats on the new purchase you'll probably really like them.
