Have a set of AKG K81DJ's that have been modded with removable cables (3.5mm mono jacks) on each cup. Loved these as portables, but can't get past the channel imbalance anymore. They are mismatched drivers due to one getting damaged during "surgery." Replaced with driver from a different set. They work, sound good, but one channel is louder than the other (roughly 10-15%). If you have a player that can correct for this (you can do this in Windows 7), then you are good to go. Cups, pads, band, all in good condition. Comes with a nice detachable cable made from Mogami wire with a nylon multifilament sleeve (nearly worth the asking price alone).
So, you can listen to them with a little balance correction, or use them for parts. Either way, please get these off of my bookshelf :)
$OLD paypal gift gets it shipped in the US.
