Advantages of buying Fiio Olympus (E10) instead of Fiio Andes E07K?

I'm deciding between the Fiio Andes E07 and the Fiio Olympus (E10)

 

Which would pair better with my Sennheiser HD598s?

 

According to a few sources on the internet

Both models have a Wolfson WM8740 DAC.

 

I'm assuming the Olympus (E10) sounds better since it is not portable, but that is a pretty unfounded claim.

I also read that the amp section is better in the E10.

I'm not really sure if this is true

 

Is there any advantage to buying the E10?

From the specs it looks like the E7 is better.

the E7 is the earlier version of the E07K.

Do you mean the E07K?

Honestly, the specs are virtually the same.

 

This leads me to think that, since the E07K allows a 3.5mm input along with the USB input, and has 2 output jacks, that I should go with it.

edit:

Now how about when using my headphones with something like a TV or PS3.

It seems like I would need a 3.5mm input to do so..

 

In this case would I need the E07?

Or is there some sort of USB/Optical Audio adapter worth using?

You can use it in both ways. If your TV/PS3 has line out, then just plug it in the 3.5mm input (it'll work as an amp), otherwise in the USB (work as DAC).

If you want optical input, you should get the E17.
