After some research further into this situation, I believe I need the 2nd version remote as the turntable I have is meant to pair with a Yamaha AVC-50. This also explains why I can't find anything in the schematics for a Technics of the same model, because they added this option to the turntable instead of it being an aftermarket thing.E

 

EDIT: Please disregard this thread, realized I dont need a remote control but a vintage preamp from yamaha to use this feature.....
