OHIO meet thread Official

I have been wanting to meet with some fellow guys from here for a while now. It has been harder then it needs to be to meet some new people.

So this is my official thread for my first meet in Westerville, Ohio. 

 

 

This meet can be me and one other person I really don't care at this point, all are invited to it though And I will be able to Host 10-15 people easily, with 2-3 rooms for equipment and lounging.

 

Rules and regulations or SOPs for this meet

This is a private Home and the place that I live, Treat it as such and how you would like to have your guests act. 

alcohol is definitely permitted but be over the age and be responsible with it

I will not provide you food and drink so either bring your own or money, where i live there are more then plenty of places where you can order from or go to (good places).

Please be respectful to all that are here not just the host.

I have huge patio so if you smoke take it outside.

Plan on having an awesome day with music and fellow nerds/geeks.

as an added bonus there will be very high speed wifi available for use as well. 

 

You do not have to bring a lot of equipment a simple amp and headphone and laptop is fine. All things are welcome though.

 

The date will be THE 16th of Feb 2013 This will not change again at least for this meet. 

Time for the Meet is 12pm till 8-9pm or later

I'd really like to go but the dates keep changing ... from Saturday to Saturday to Saturday, and that is a day that will never, ever be available for me. Sucks, as I'd really like to go.

Man.  I will be in DC on the 16th of Feb.  If we can't do it on the 23rd I'll have to pass.

I'm still not sure of my availability for this meet, but if there's someone in the Cleveland area who'd like to carpool down (maybe chipping in for gas or food or something) maybe we can work something out.

I'm in. I live nearby in Powell.  I can bring Sennheiser HD650/600, Grado PS500/RS2i. Maybe an Aune T1 tube DAC/AMP and iPod Classic/Arrow amp if any interest.

I am dead set on making this happen so I can not change the dates again. There was a meet that was supposed to happen over 3 months ago-ish.. if this goes well and has a good attendance i will throw another in the very near future ie 2-3 months in the summer time.

Good luck, then. But these meets almost never work unless you give more than a full month's advance and ask people the best days of the week, etc for them.

I'm in, I live next to Easton. I can bring Sennheiser IE8, Monster Golds and Miles Davis Tributes and Sony XBA-3ip. I won't be able to show up until 5pm.

I'd like to go, I don't have much to contribute though. I only own a pair of 558's at the moment and a friend is building me an o2. That wont arrive for a while though since its still in production and will ship from hong kong. I'm getting some v3's sometime soon but I only recently shipped my impressions in. Eventually I'll buy some orthos but mostly if I came I'd just be bumming other peoples cans ^_^. Um. Also it depends on how long a bus ride to westerwille will take, I currently live on OSU campus in columbus and do not have a car, so unless someone living in my general area would be willing to give me a ride I'll have to see how the bus schedule works out.

 

Edit:

Oh i have a pair of vmoda m-80s too. I forgot about those I never use them anymore. I also have random cheap iems that I can throw in a bag to bring lol.

Updated with a different time for the event with an actual "ending time" again plan on staying for a while because some people may not be able to make it till a bit later and it will be nice for as many people to meet the others as possible.

I'd like to go. All the equipment I own is in my sig (minus the Stax and the Colorfly, which haven't arrived in the mail yet but should by the time this meet occurs).

Seems a good amount of people have verbally committed thus far.

 

We need to recruit someone with an HE400 or HE500!  I have been waiting to hear HIFIMAN!  lol

 

 jbarr1989 - What time are you planning on arriving?  I don't want to miss the opportunity to see/hear your D7K, and 900.  Also I was thinking about buying a M.F. V-link as well.  Good Stuff!!! 

 

Jupiterknight's HD600 and PS500 are gonna be cool to check out too.

 

 

Is anyone looking for 6SN7's or 5692's?  I have a gorgeous RCA 5692 red base from 1959 i am looking to sell for the right price.  Plus if anyone is using 6sn7's I will bring some tubes to the meet for you to try as well.  If not I wont bother with the extra tubes.

Could be interesting to try out different tubes but I don't believe any of the ones you mentioned will fit the Aune T1 tube dac/amp that I'm bringing.

I do agree would be nice to hear the differences in the tubes you should bring them in the off shot someone might be interested in them after hearing them ;)
