Credit where credit is due.

That Ferrari doesn´t look good. I was surprised how long Kimi managed to keep Alonso behind being so incredible unstable everywhere.

Also can somebody revoke Maldonados license? Wrecked Ericssons race this time will he ever learn from his misstakes? They are just piling and piling and piling and he don´t even want to admit he is at fault. Now this is a common personality error with racing drivers I know ;)

Maldonado - The Andrea deCrasheris of his time:rolleyes:

It's getting pretty ridiculous, he literally trashed his car for the whole three day race weekend. After crashing in practice AND qualifyers, he should know better to not do it again in the race...

DeCrasheris bankrupted the Alfa team back in the day by writing off 12 or 14 tubs in a single season. If you haven't got the head for it F1 is merciless. Maldo must have brought some huge sponsor money with him for a team to put up with that amount of nonesense.

25 million. He's spending it pretty quickly too.

Vettel did well. I wonder if Renault will actually get their act together in a couple of races and if there might be a three tier season going - keeping in mind that that was the best RB track of the season. Ferraris both looked a squirrely mess through the fast corners.

Good race though. Lots of delicious tension.

Bring on Monaco baby. cool.gif

Boy is he ever. Carbon is a lot pricier to be writing off than aluminum was.

Trouble at Renault is they lost a lot of their engine talent when the testing ban came into effect. They went off to build bicycles:rolleyes:  They do have an amazing resiliency in F1 though, should they put their minds (and money to it).

Harsh, but true.

In all seriousness, do you suppose by season's end Maldonado will have cost Lotus more than he got them in sponsorship money?

I hope Pastor sticks around to keep reminding everyone why pay drivers suck, and just for pure comedic value.

I think it's quite interesting that Horner jumps at every opportunity to bash Renault. Makes you think they are looking to end their relationship ... but what other option do they have? Honda so far says they will be a one team supplier.

And I would love to see a Brawn, Newey, Alonso, Raikkennon 2015 challenge to Merc.

IMO not yet, but will.

The play there for Horner is to insinuate that he could do a deal with Merc. Whether or not Renault plays with that one is another story.  Horners just not in a positon right now to put any manu's motor on the podium and they all know it.

I think we need a maldo pool going on here. whoever guesses the closest to how much it cost to run him for each race kilometer wins all.

I sincerely hope he does something monumentally stupid in monaco qually and gets excluded from the race. Thats one track where having a grenade rolling around without the pin can have disastrous results for the entire field.

Bad  enough you have two fubarris flloating around there with their chassis attempting to go in 5 directions at once and being held barely in check by the two most dynamic drivers in the sport. The last thing needed is for them to have to lap the incredible Maldo Moving Chicane on that track,

Going to be well worth watching the practice sessions there.

You know he got a life-time ban from racing in Monaco?

When is a life time ban, not a life time ban>

They don't call it the "Circus" for nothing.

Fingers crossed he might take out both Mercedes and make the race more interesting..

I just watched Kimi's post race interview. biggrin.gif

I think that's a new height in the art of interviewing, even for Kimi. Love it!
