I have to think that MERC would not be foolish enough to let Brawn "retire" without a non compete clause the size of War and Peace.

Top fuel dragsters can, according to their wiki page, go from 0 to 100mph in less than 1 second !! eek.gif

Have you ever watched a speedway start. And it's on gravel. Top ful cars is not racing cars. They can't take a corner ;-)

I think as long as he isn't breaking a contract by retiring early, he can probably do whatever the hell he wants. And you have to imagine, if Ross had his druthers he would still be the uncontested Team Principal at the team which looks set to take at least the next WDC/WCC.

There are pretty specific rules in place describing what kind of information you can share with your next employer - though how effective they are one has to wonder. In any event, I think Merc is sitting pretty happy at the moment with the engine homologation now in effect. Teams can only change so much of the powerplant over a given period of time. It'll be interesting to see how Mercish the Honda looks next year.

I read that the Ferrari has a 'congenital defect' - it's too narrow. Apparently the side pods are too tight and simply don't generate enough downforce in that part of the car.

I did, and the bikes didn't seem that fast to me. Besides, I don't see how they could be faster from 0 to 60 than any of today's superbikes.

Well they're cars and they're used to race, so they're racing cars . :D:beerchug:

It´s easy. They don´t have a transmission. Neither do they have brakes and such ridiculous stuff that make the bikes heavy :D.

They just need to accelerate to 60 mph they don´t need to go much faster.

Superbikes destroy them in top speed but have transmission losses, heavy engines and crap and go lay down and die on manly surfaces like gravel and ice ;)

And no no way you can say top fuel is racing cars... That is totally ridiculous creations but fun :D

Vettel is getting a new chassis for the Spain race.

Only Vettel not Riccardo?

His is coming around Silverstone.

“Sebastian will get a new chassis for Barcelona, which was scheduled at the start of the season,” Marshall said.

“It shouldn’t be [beneficial], as the idea is that they are all the same. Drivers don’t always want to change them – they can get attached to a particular chassis and when they are on a good run they like to hang on to it for as long as possible.

“From our point of view we’d rather give them one or two new chassis during the season that we have been able to check out in the factory using various testing methods. The next one will be for Dan at some time around Silverstone.”

Kind of fascinating to see. Sebastian Vettel has obviously getting Mark Webbers car! If there is an issue you are sure it´s going to be on Vettels car whereas Riccardo always get the perfect one :D

I won´t  be obvious commenting Maldonado...

Marcus finally outqualify Kobayashi but Caterhams new updates don´t work at all :(

Vettel has a new chassis but he has no drive.

Well, new (old) chassis.

Nice to see Raikkonen delivering again. Fingers crossed that he'll keep up with Alonso in the race too...

Sadly I don´t think he will. He didn´t look friend with the car at all I was shocked he was able to outqualify Alonso anyway. Alonso must had some technical issues.

It´s a shame that Ferrari can´t build a car that suits both drivers.

Tremendous race tonight guys. Vettel was surprisingly quick.

From 15th to 4th, passing both Ferraris, that is some driving. Must be the new chassis. But the MBs dominated, again.

No biggie there. The Fubarri's are so bad mannered you could well label them "The car that passes itself".

If Alonso and Raikkonnen cannot keep it straight is must be the most diabolical thing on wheels.
