Who knows, with the crazy weather going around lately, it just might happen.

I will once again repeat myself, posts,  from near the day McLaren signed him lately last year  .. Keep an eye on minimag..Kevin Magnussen.

A rookie with speed and talent..Not privately sponsored to be on the circuit or with a team, not purely, but there because he is super fast and just need too build experience, that he will pick up within a season or two.. His father was actually a way more a talented/skilled driver but had personal/team/technical issues etc. that took him away from performing at the level he could have, albeit his Le Mans records are quite acceptable..

Minimag will be on the podium at least a couple of times this season and he will help (internal competition etc.) J.B. to step up as well.

2015.. wait and see and we might have the first Danish driver win the F1 or end in the top three in a McLaren vehicle..

I will bet a few headphones on this to happen...:-)

Wow bold claims there Jupiterknight, I like it! I would love to see a mid-pack team get another win this year, Force India, Williams, Sauber.....take some chances!

I'm a McLaren fan but I'd like to see Perez do well. I hated to see them let him go. I think he did pretty good considering the car they had.

The photo was taken in Melbourne last Friday.  It wasn't there to promote the Australian F1 though.

Hmmm. Then again Stirling Moss never won a world championship at all.

Statistics only just show who sat in the championship car in term of F1 so no that is a bit silly. But statistics is fun anyway even when they are useless :)

If you want truly good racing check out the Aussie V8 racing. Don´t hurt much being in the slipstream in those cars. Cars tolerate quite a lot and the racing there is just insane.

Well, not completely. Just to name one Raikkonen sat in the championship car in 2008 and didn't even scratch the title. And I think the 2005 car was title-worthy, in theory. 2005 and 2008 may be the only years Raikkonen had a real chance at winning the championship and didn't. Raikkonen fan though I am, I think the best he can really hope for (not that I suspect he cares) is to be remembered in the Mansell or - at present - Hamilton class of drivers who were clearly good enough to win more than once, but for one reason or another never got it all together again.

Of course if he beats Alonso this year even if he doesn't win the title it should be good for his reputation - but I have to be honest and say the chances of him conclusively beating Alonso aren't great; not many people have managed that, even in a better car. It's going to be fascinating to watch though.

How about Massa out qualifying Raikonen Alonso a few times this year? That would be nice food for the tabloids.

Massa is fast though faster then Alonso over a single lap.

What amazes me is how Alonso is immune to statistics. Here we talk about someone that got beaten by a rookie Hamilton but it somehow doesn´t count because he managed to secure two WC:s while Renault/French state was pumping in money like never seen before in F1. If you win more then 1 WC you can´t be touched or? He repeatedly got beaten by massa in qualifying and failed to win WC with 7 years in a red car :D. That is some kind of a record even Massa has been closer to do that just by a hair got beaten by Hamilton.
