Formula 1-fi (Read the First Post!) - Page 23

FIA didn't state what the reprimands will be against Mercedes and against Pirelli. It should be where it hurts, their pockets.

Reprimand is just verbal, no monetary or sporting penalty. It goes down on your record and is used to justify harsher penalties for further infringements.

I don't think they can even reprimand Pirelli actually.

This was the penalty that I was expecting the FIA to give I don't know about everyone else? Whether the punishment fits the crime is a different matter.

A verbal reprimand is weak, even if it will be used against them later.  Money is right, like they used to do.

Maybe with the prior rumors of Mercedes bailing out of F1 they thought they shouldn't give them any more reason to leave.

Well Whiting and the FIA legal head basically gave them the okay to do the test ... so the FIA didn't have much of a leg to stand on. I think this was as much of a penalty as could be justified under the circumstances, even if the rules were broken.

Yeah when watching Ross Brawn being interviewed a week or so ago, he was awfully confident...

Two very good races coming up, two consecutive weekends.

I'm so ready to watch more, and Silverstone will do just fine, but truthfully I cannot wait! for the Nürb.

I've been putting in so many laps on Gran Turismo on the Nürb GP/F, and I'm so ready to watch F1.

So ready!

Good news for Gran Turismo fans, Silverstone will be in GT6.

Psyched to have some more F1 action too! Should be lots to talk about this weekend.

Personally I find Nurb to be kind of a 'meh' track. Now, if they raced on the Nordschleife circuit ... biggrin.gif

Same thing with Hockenheim - I prefer the old layout. The current track which aims to bring the racing back towards the grandstands is a bit fiddly and lacking in character. But I may be a stick in the mud because I also prefer the previous Silverstone layout too. wink.gif

Most new layouts is meh... For good reason safety nobody want dead drivers like in the old days with the truly exciting tracks. That is the best with sim racing but all to often races are put on modern GP circuits.

Mark Webber is leaving F1 and going to race sports cars for Porsche.

Who can blame him for the raw deals he got from Red Bulldust and that idiot team-monster Vettel.

The sooner Vettel gets his come-uppance, the better.

Maybe Webber just wasn't a 10/10.

F1 is a cruel mistress after all and there,s plenty of history to affirm that with various teams/drivers/cars simply not making the cut.

Toyota is a prime example where they had the biggest budget but it wasn't good enough.

Webber follows team orders.

Vettel disobeys, says sorry, Says he'd do the same thing again.

What a rat.

Red Bulldust say "bad boy" to Vettel. End of story.

You don't have to be an out-and-out ratbag to win races, but Vettel will do anything fair or foul to do so..!

Vettel has no honour.

He knows a bout of shame lasts for a little while, but the records show a win, not the circumstances he came by it.

The soone F1 is rid of Vettel, the better.

Indeed.

It was the same back in the Schumacher years.

Damn Germans.

Senna and Prost was no better either. Lets just accept it they are all super competitive :)
