Formula 1-fi (Read the First Post!) - Page 20

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Like I said before, the Ferrari's are fast. Kimi is one hell of a driver. Vettel and RB are still the team to beat IMO. If the Benz can fix their tire problem they would be in contention.

Brilliant race again. I love the new tires. Cool that Ferrari could go aggressive and catch Red Bull of guard. I believe Red Bull wanted to do a lame slow three stopper Lotus style but couldn´t do it and had to switch.

Good job by Kimi and Lotus again but it would cool if they also could try going aggressive. Maybe their car is just not suitable for that always slow in the initial laps of the stints it seems.

It has been smooth sailing for Kimi, but those wins are needed. Alonso looks strong looking at the Barcelona race and the previous one. The speed is certainly there and the tire use seems to be ok as well.

Red Bull just simply focked up. It turned into totally different race for them after 20 laps.

It seems that teams that know how to maximize the life of the tires while still being able to be aggressive are the teams that will do well.

For example, Mercedes can push during qualifying, but they can't push at all during the race lest their tires fall apart.

It's too bad, it looks like it's something inherent in the design of the suspension geometry which can't be fixed by tweaking adjustable parameters or compromising their aero.

Lotus looks great; I wonder if their "FRIC" has anything to do with how easy they are on the tires?

It's possible, but I wonder why the Mercedes are so mediocre in that area...

to efficient in getting heat in the tires? Good for hot lapping but not so much for racing :)
