Basically, I'm running a 4g 64gb iPod touch as the main audio source in my car. I like it because I can wirelessly sync my music at night when I park, so I never have to take it out of the car. The iPod interface I'm running (Alpine KCA-420i) takes the unamplified signal from the 30 pin. It also pulls controls, meta data, charges it etc etc. It's functional to the point that I never bothered to run the iPod to the front of the car because I can control it all through the head unit.
Anyway, on with it...
My goal is to use a high quality DAC instead of the iPod's, but have it's output and everything else passed through to a female 30 pin, where I can can connect the KCA-420i.
Possible? thoughts?
