Do you know something we don't know about when the Kingsound phones will arrive?

I'am still curious about these though. How well it will compare to a ESP950 and all which are both about the same price.

Considering I felt the ESP950 was gonna disintegrate in my hands, I'm at least hopeful that the KS-H1 will feel a LITTLE more sturdy. Lol.

Yeah the Koss ESP950 build is a joke, I liked the sound definitely a good competitor against some of the good old vintage Lambda model's but that provided amplifier is a shocker and powering a Stax terminated ESP950 on a better amplifier will reveal how well they scale and unlock its potential.

But hey, backed up by a life time warranty.

There is being picky but the Jade's were just a scam, nothing short of it.  A new anything shouldn't just break or fall apart right out of the box, let alone something this expensive.  The ESP950 was built like a tank compared to the Jades and they have been made the same way for 25 years.

As for the sound, truly one of the worst I've heard.  The whole concept of reproducing what was actually on the recording was just lost to them.  That surpasses any annoying traits many transducers have as most at least try to get it right.

What's the worst you heard - The Jade?

Yep, I know spritz hates it. Fang is working on a new electrostat, he probably has a lot more experience since the times he initiated the DIY project that  the Jade apparently was.

Fang doesn't do any of the design work.  As soon as he tried to defend some of the design "choices" in the Jade it was clear he hasn't got the slightest clue about ESP design.

Amongst the worst but it's hard to be definitive about this stuff.  It's in good company with the HE-5's, Ultrasone etc.

Yeah, Fang's brainchild is his planar magnetic line of headphones. The Jade was done by a former colleague of his I think.

Who is this Fang person? Fang Bian of HiFiMAN?

Yes.
