October 18, 1947 – April 8, 1997

 

Lots of people sleep on this singer/songwriter. She's a classic, and was inducted into the rock and roll

hall of fame last year. I rarely hear her name mentioned and think there's a chance that a few people out

there may like to know of her existence.

A lot of her songs were covered by other artists and made big hits. The Fifth Dimension comes to mind.

I have no doubt she's good. I can hear it.  If I were chained to a wall with her stuck on repeat... after a week or so I might start to like it.  blink.gif

 

But otherwise... it's not for me.

I would't want to subject anyone to something they hated. Of course, her style (especially being from a certain era) may not  be  universally appreciated.
