Obviously you're gonna think they lack bass in comparison.

i dont mean it the way you are taking it.. i mean even the slightest murmur.  you wouldnt even think there is music coming from there. not even a touch of vibration.

 

the whole reason i got a new set is to get rid of the denons.. the bass is too strong and almost makes it hard to hear anything else.  

 

that being said, i do like at least some bass.. dance/house/electro just sounds so weak, even rock sounds bad. they really do sound like cheap earbuds :/

 

as for the fitting, they do fit my head well, i have a larger than normal head so theres no problems here! no glasses

But earbuds roll the bass off at about 200 Hz, because there is no seal at all. So there really is no bass.

 

If your K550s sound like that they are broken, which I doubt.

Sounds like they just may not be working right.
