Best closed-back Headphones for metal?

As stated in the title, I want a closed set specifically for listening to metal. I have a budget of around 300 dollars. I need a set that doesn't require an amp, and is comfortable. I'll be using them a lot, so comfort is a big issue.

Sony MDR-R1 has the tightest and most exciting sound I've heard from a closed headphone.
