Any possible way of making my Ultrasone HFI-580 more comfortable?

I cannot wear these cans for more than a hour. What really bothers me most about these cans is the headband cushion. It's so uncomfortable and hard. It almost feels like it's creating a bold spot on the top of my head. Any suggestions?

Take the cushion off.  You'll then have to maybe use the earcups less extended.

If it's still bothersome, then you can make your own wider and flatter headband padding with tape+napkins or a foam sticker sheet.

There was a mod someone managed to pull which involved the Sennhesier HD650 headband cushion.

This shows the Pro900 but it's the same headband design.

That looks very comfy, but the question is where do I get HD650 headband cushion?

beyerdynamic dt250 pads fit on them. To loosen up the headband cushion you could try some isopropyl rubbing alcohol and a cotton swab, just rub it on in small amounts until you think it's soft enough

I don't think it's the actually headband cushioning itself, but more of the extremely hard pleather that they use to cover it. I'm thinking of taking that pleather off and wrapping it with some other softer material.
