Question about computer speaker setup

Hi, i was wondering if any of you have ever had experience with the swan mk200iii speakers before? i was looking to upgrade my corsair sp2500 setup to an  audioengine a5+ setup, but i was looking around and people say the swans are superior for a little more money. any help would be appreciated. also if any of you guys have had the swans, how are they for the occasional game or movie.

I haven't heard the swans, but I've read enough testimonials to suggest that both are probably fairly comparable, and your individual speaker tastes are probably more of a factor than the differences between those.

However, sure you are going to be happy without a sub?

yea for the time being, i mean i have been listening to alot of jazz and soundtracks and vocals, but i know i have the option to add one later, but im leaning towards the swans, but then the vanatoo's look promising... so i am stuck between the 3.

I've never heard of the Vanatoos, but have seen lots of positive testimonials on different forums for the Swans and the Audioengine. I think you'd be taking a risk with the Vanatoos.

The other speaker in your price range you might look at that gets similar positive response from a lot of people is the Emotiva Airmotiv 5. It's a powered studio monitor instead of a powered computer multimedia speaker.
