I am not sure it would though? Isn't the tape loop just a passthrough connection?

Mmm I figured out my situation... Needed to connect marantz cd-r/md out to little dot's output. Can now properly make use of volume adjustment.

Am pretty astounded to find out the little dot sounds exactly the same as the pm7200... Very weird. Either something going on with the connection I don't understand, or they are actually just very alike.
