I didn't know he won a grammy.  His new stuff does suck and I watched the video of him dancing so that's why I posted the video that I did.  I rarely pay attention to the lyrics in rap these days since most of it sucks or I don't really care.  I like the beats.  Electronica is great but I miss good 'ol hip hop beats.  You guys are posting some good stuff on here though.  

I love Hopsin in this, basically dissed like 75% of the class lol can't wait for this year

There are tons of great hip hop that are even better than the ol' school stuff, beats/ lyrics/ etc. you just have to dig a bit deeper into the underground or internationally. Hip Hop is in no way or form dead whatsoever maybe in the mainstream but it's just getting better and better due to all the new styles/ elements that are incorporated. Interesting times indeed.

I actually hear a lot of resemblance of De La Soul in Hopsin's music, not too serious, has humor and nice musicality, however like De La, his singles doesn't make much sense unless you hear it during the album

De La Soul has 3 certified classic albums(really hard to disprove this) starting with their debut to the dismemberment of Prince Paul, how many classic albums does De La Soul hold in their existence?

ANS:  4 if you are in the camp with me and some other heads, there was nothing significantly different between "The Stakes Is High" and the previous 3 classic releases, vote: De La Soul

so in a way, you have quite a lot material to choose from to start with, I recommend "The Stakes Is High" as a first album to check out, all-the-way-through listen is recommended though, I wouldn't go just by tracks at random
