I'm coming from London and departing from Liverpool Street. A one-way ticket tomorrow is £46. On 6 Feb am being quoted £8-£20 each way depending on time. Underground is handled by the Oyster and capped at all day travelcard rate anyway. If you are outside the M25 do you need to go into London or is there no train route that bypasses?

I'd like to come as it's just down the road for me. A weekend would be much easier but I might be able to stop by after work.

Just too far and too short notice for me sadly. I'm clear across the country in Liverpool, not sure if the university would allow me a day off for a head-fi meet.

I'm in Taunton nowhere near London, but there is a direct train route to Paddington so I can be in London in under two hours on a good day.  On a map Colchester is close to London so I was thinking maybe an hour extra, I had not considered being on the tube with a suitcase full of audio gear at pretty much rush hour as well... Not living in a city it's hard to get out of my small town one train station mindset

I'm in Ipswich. Depends a bit on family commitments too, but in theory I finish work by 5.30pm.

Certainly would be no problem to bring the v200, DX100 and HD800. I'd probably prefer to leave the tube amp at home unless there's a lot of interest. Mind you, there should be, it's better than the v200 IMO

Keep us posted on the interest you have. If there's enough folk able to attend to make it worth going ahead I'd like to come if I can. I'd certainly like to have the chance to try the T series Beyers against my HD800 if that were an option.

So what is happening with this?

I went to the Cambridgeshire head-fi meeting last year with two friends and took my BHSE / SR-009's, but I only took my iPod to use as source. While I enjoyed that meeting, I'd prefer the next one I go to, to be somewhere closer to home. Because of that my friend headfier IanG suggested I got in touch with someone that has an audio shop in Selby, Yorkshire, to find out whether he could get an head-fi meeting going in Yorkshire. Paul the owner of that shop said he's only just started with his shop, but when it gets more established he might be able to get a meeting sorted out.

Me and Ian are going through to Paul's place but that won't be until sometime in June.  I did suggest I'd take my headphone system along for him to have a listen.

Although this meeting in Yorkshire if successful might be sometime away, if or when it does happen, the equipment I'll be taking will be  SR-009 / BHSE  or  Senn HD600 / Headamp GS-X  or   SR-009 / Aristaeus,  but the source won't be my iPod, it will probably be my Esoteric K-01. Fingers crossed a meeting can be sorted out in Yorkshire because the K-01 IMO  improves any headphone.

Until I receive the GS-X, I'm listening to my HD600's with my Pico Slim, the source being my K-01, and while that combo isn't as good as the SR-009 / BHSE / K-01, it's still very good.

I'd love a Yorkshire meet. I'm not far from Selby(when not at uni) since I'm just outside York. I don't have a car though, so anything I can contribute would have to fit in a smallish suitcase and not break on the train.
